Bernstein's 10 Tips Real Blogs Assignment
In class on February 3 we spent some time in groups working with Mark Bernstein's "10 Tips on Writing the Living Web" article. Each group was responsible for using 3 of Bernstein's tips as a way to critically examine a blog plucked from Blogger's "Blogs of Note" list.
Your Task
- One member of your group posts your group's work to the Course Weblog as a new post. Be sure to include a link to the blog that you're examining so that readers can see what you're talking about.
- Label that post using the following labels: Assignments, Bernstein, Blogging. This way we'll be able to pull just the Bernstein (blogging, or assignment) posts out of the stream of posts accumulating on the blog.
- Read what the other groups write and comment on their own interpretations of Bernstein's tips as applied to their blogs.
Groups
- Group 1 (Francisco, Jarrel, Tiffany) - Write for a Reason, Make Good Friends, and Stand up/Speak out, with The Mexile en inglaterra as the example blog.
- Group 2 (Anna, Jazmine, Shivann) - Write Often, Find Good Enemies, and Be Sexy, with Not Plain Jane as the example blog.
- Group 3 (Juan, Marchelle, Claude) - Write Tight, Let the Story Unfold, and Relax, with Tablescaping as the example blog.
- Group 4 (Missed Class - Gaquanna and Erin) - Pick 3 of Mark Bernstein's Tips and analyze Overland Wannabe using the tips.
