This assignment has us find a featured photo and alter it to change its meaning. In light of the Stanley Cup playoffs, I chose this photo. It was featured by the Boston Globe in April 2019. The original caption on the photo was “The Bruins’ Bobby Orr went airborne after scoring the winning goal that won the Stanley Cup against the St. Louis Blues May 10, 1970, at Boston Garden”.
It has been warming up temperature wise at home and there have been some radio commercials for the annual belly flop contest near me. The pose that the Bruin’s player is in reminds me of an amateur belly flop.
To make this photo I saved the original photo to my computer and added the text via markup. It was a fairly simple process.
