My name is Stella, and I am the most supportive pup there ever was. While spending the entire day on the sidelines watching my little brother play ultimate frisbee, of course one of my famous good game fist bump was well earned. I have been watching him play frisbee since I was a little puppy, you’d think that I would be able to catch a frisbee myself from all of the many hours spent watching. BUTTT… I’m too lazy and would much rather watch while getting a belly rub from my mom or dad. This week, I found the inspiration to dive into creating a GIF on my own. Come to find out… it was SO easy, and SO fun! I used the well known platform “GIFHY”. You are able to create a free account and upload a video from your camera roll. I capture this video today while watching my little brother play ultimate frisbee! Once I uploaded the video there were options to add text. After adding the text and placing it in position, you are able to then save the GIF to your camera roll. After it is saved, I was able to upload it to Twitter for my Daily Create!!

DS106 – “Selfie With Your Dog”

Two dogs and a girl with cross country skis head into the woods….. This sounds like the beginning to a murder mystery novel. Well, sorry folks, no mystery to solve here.  I for one am indeed very much so alive. So let me do a little introduction to the two lions (oh wait.. DOGS!) standing next me to me. On the left is Khloè. She is about three years old and has more attitude than a diva walking down the runway. Her favorite way to spend the day is being outside and exploring while going for walks . Beside her is Stella. Stella is roughly 6 years old and is the biggest love you’ll ever meet. Stella enjoys lounging on the couch and sleeping away the day while receiving occasional belly rubs from anyone that passes by. Both Stella and Khloè are in fact related. They are not sisters, however they are aunt and niece. It is very evident that they share such a special bond with one another. This is my most favorite picture of my beautiful pups because we are all enjoying a snowy day on the trails cross country skiing. This picture was captured to send to my parents who at the time were sitting on a warm sunny beach in Florida. I was trying to convey to them that I was not at all jealous and would much rather be outside in the February cold air, in the beautiful state of Maine (convincing??? I’m not too sure about that…) I did not choose to edit or place a filter over the image, as I wanted to show the natural beauty of the great outdoors.

Doesn’t this just want you to make breakfast all day long! If only the process of making avocado toast looked as effortless as this GIF makes it seem. There is nothing more enjoyable than making some delicious avocado toast, sitting on the back porch overlooking the beautiful Casco Bay while enjoying a warm cup coffee. Yes… Summer my friends is here! There is always something special about the mornings that I have always enjoyed. The quiet time of reflection maybe spent over some sort of carb (yes.. I would die without carbs). Today, my “toast” has in store a busy day, spent with friends and family!  As I spent time reflecting on how I wanted to express my “What in Your Toast” daily create, and when my eyes fixated on this GIF from talent Al Boardman, I couldn’t exist to borrow his creation. Not only has it perfectly described what I wanted to convey, it has given me inspiration for my own creation next week!

DS106 Work

When I was looking through my camera roll for the perfect image to use as a MEME, I found this picture of one of my three dogs after I had told her she was done playing in the mud for the day. She is a beautiful bullmastiff named Stella, with an abundance of sass. This is her common “pouting” that can be seen almost anytime she hears the word “no” or “all done”. And yes, she is aware of the many the english words! What I find the most amusing while creating this MEME of Stella, is how often we speak for her with her hilarious facial expressions. The process that I took to go about taking this image from my camera roll and turning it into one of my most favorite MEME’s was quite simple. I took the image that was on my laptop and uploaded it to an online (free!!!) photoshop website. This website was called, “Pixlr Editor” (you can find it here: https://pixlr.com/editor/ )From here, I was able to add text to the image. After I typed out the text , it was easy to move the text around the image to place it directly where I wanted it. Once I was happy with the final image and MEME, I clicked ‘save’ and it was on my desktop waiting to be uploaded for this assignment! Have I mentioned how much I love technology when it works! Anyways, time to go wash my dirty dog…
