When scrolling through the pictures on The Boston Globe “Big picture” website, this picture immediately stood out. This little seven-year-old was struck by boredom while waiting for a Senator to appear on stage at a rally. She naturally did what any adventurous kiddo would do and played with the objects around her. This made me think of a common game kiddos play, “The Floor is Lava”. To create this meme, I started with the caption making it an off white and placing a drop shadow to make the letters pop a bit more from the background. Then I took a color similar to the girl’s tutu and made it a boarder. The tutu draws your eye right into the little girl because it is very different from the blues and beiges in the background. Adding the border, I thought, would help that stand out even more.
