Demotivate Yourself

I found this image on Creative Commons by searching for storms and following what was talked about in our Creative Commons licensing. I was looking for an image that would show impending doom or just chaos. This image doesn’t have the chaos aspect to me but it truly speaks to me when I think about the quote I chose. This image is from Richard Walker Photography. The quote is from the fourth book of the Mortal Instrument series written by Cassandra Clare. I don’t remember when exactly I read this series but what I do know is that it’s an amazing series. I knew I wanted to do a quote from a book that I had previously read because I wanted to be able to connect to it in more ways than one.

When I was younger I changed myself to fit in with my classmates. It took me until junior year of high school to realize it. This quote reminds me of that time and how I am now. Now I don’t try to do anything to change myself for others. If there is something about me that I want to change then it will only be for myself. This has helped me become stronger and help me like myself just the way I am.

Daily Create #tdc3425 – Simple TV Show

This is a Canadian comedy- drama series that I found on Netflix. It was first aired in 2007 and I believe it is on its 14th season. It is about a family who have a horse farm and one of the daughters has special connections with horses. These connections help her heal the horses. I started watching this show during the summer when Covid first started. I haven’t finished it and I think I only got to around season 3 maybe. I started to get bored because I can’t watch just one show at a time.

Daily Create #tdc3422 – Abridged Classics

In high school, I had to read this as an assignment and immediately fell in love with it. This book really makes you think about how the future is going to be. In this book, the future seems bleak in the main character’s eyes and books are illegal. There is a secret group of people that remember verses or lines from specific books. To ever think that the world wouldn’t have any books allowed in it seems crazy and unreal. To be honest I don’t think that will ever happen (knock on wood). This is because there are a lot of people who hold books close to their hearts and they allow readers to escape reality for a few hours.

DS106 MEME 1

From Avatar the Last Airbender

I had trouble trying to figure out which image to pick. I looked at all the images to see if a phrase would come to mind that generally relates to me. So when I looked back at this image I thought about the face I make when I get confused with math. I feel as though this perfectly describes what my brain feels and looks like when it comes to math. Math as you can conclude is not one of my strong suits especially geometry and calculus. My brain just gets so confused just thinking about those two subjects.

Daily Create #TDC3413 – Make A Planet

I used the planet generator that was created by Zarkonnen. There were a lot of planets to pick from I was stuck between this planet and another one named Laraoll VI. I ended up choosing Riagig IV because of the wildlife. It is the main reason why I was drawn to it. There is more information about the wildlife that didn’t fit into the tweet and it was that they do not attack while being looked at. These creatures reminded me of several books of such creatures just like this. They were always seen as servants to an evil being. The inhabitants of this planet also reminded me of Medusa in Greek mythology and how she is seen as an evil person. Those who look into her eyes are turned to stone. Medusa is seen in the 2010 movie Clash of the Titans that was directed by Louis Leterrier which is one of the first introductions I had of her.
