When looking at the photos Dr. Cripps provided for me to use, this was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this picture. I recently was asked by the family I regularly nanny to tutor their little Kindergartener (whom I will refer to as Sokka). The first time I went over to tutor Sokka, I asked to observe how the parents and Sokka complete schoolwork and Zooms so I could get the best idea of how they like to do school at home and incorporate that into my style of teaching. When Sokka went on Zoom for “class”, I peeked at the screen and what I saw was 8 to 9 different blocks of different students and parents looking like the two characters above, Sokka and their parents included.
I couldn’t help but jump at the chance to create this MEME when I saw this photo. This situation isn’t ideal for any teacher, student, or parent but everyone is making the best out of it. It doesn’t hurt to laugh every so often about it all too, bringing a lighthearted aspect to all the craziness. ds106assignment
